Sensitive, honest and loyal are words that describe every horse. For this reason, it is all the more devastating that some animals have to live their lives in a horrible environment without love and affection. ehorses has therefore set itself the task of improving animal welfare all around the world.

No chance for fraudsters

In addition to regular campaigns, ehorses is always committed to protecting the welfare of horses. “Our website is checked daily – automatically and manually,” explains CEO Lena Büker. All advertisements on ehorses are checked daily for their seriousness and authenticity. “We do this to avoid giving potential scammers a chance,” Büker explains.

In addition, the users of the platform are actively involved in the security process. Each advertisement can be reported individually. “Our customer support examines each complaint individually and decides on the further course of action.”.

ehorses has also entered a number of partnerships that benefit animal welfare. For example, the world’s largest online horse market has been working with various breed associations for several years. “By supporting these associations, we can at the same time ensure that correct breeding conditions exist and support quality breeders who have the necessary know-how,” explains Lena Büker.

In addition, ehorses is regularly involved in improving animal welfare with the help of fundraising campaigns. Whether it’s helping victims of natural disasters, such as the flood of the century in Germany in June 2021, the rescuing of foals who were to be sent for slaughter, or supporting riding school horses in times of the pandemic: ehorses regularly fulfills its social responsibility through financial donations and cooperations.

Fundraising Campaign and Giveaway for World Animal Welfare Day

On the occasion of World Animal Welfare Day on October 4, ehorses has once again launched a fundraising campaign. This year, the organization Equiwent will be supported by the donations made. Besides an already successful cooperation this year to support the flood victims in Germany, this organization also cares for suffering working horses in Eastern Europe. Through mobile veterinary practices and farriers, as well as an equine clinic, the Equiwent team fights a daily battle for better equine life.

Best of all, the campaign comes with a great raffle. “Doing good, raising awareness for these important issues and at the same time creating a fun experience with such great projects, that’s our goal,” says a pleased Lena Büker.
