The Thelwell pony with a special coat and comfortable gaits

Sonnetta is shaping up to be a true all-round Icelandic horse: with her Barbie-like appearance thanks to her abundant blonde mane, she has an attractive, light-colored coat (probably with some color-changing genes). Her build suggests she is suitable for older riders, and her size will also appeal to children. Additionally, she possesses a strong tölt, having displayed almost exclusive tölt as a foal.

In her previous training, she has demonstrated a calm and balanced temperament—neither overly reactive nor timid, nor stubborn. She is accustomed to grooming, leading, hoof handling, trimming, as well as saddling, lunging, and standing quietly with a rider’s weight. Planned for winter 2026/27 is her riding debut. Due to a pasture accident, she has already had a healthy foal, which she delivered on her own. The photos were taken in April 2026, September 2025, February 2024, and June 2023.
