Islandstute als Beisteller/ Luxusbodenarbeitspferd

We are heartbroken to be searching for a new home for our Icelandic mare. She has experienced trauma and is not suitable as a riding horse. We have invested a lot of time, love, and training, but have come to the conclusion that she remains dangerous under saddle.  

Our mare is 10 years old, healthy, and very social. She has been regularly dewormed, vaccinated, treated by a physiotherapist, and her teeth have been checked.  

She has extensive ground training, including classical work on the halter (all lateral movements in walk, shoulder-in in trot), work on the long reins which she already handles quite well, as well as liberty work and groundwork in a circus-style environment.  

Our mare is fine-boned and very sensitive. She enjoys her work and also likes going for walks.  

We are looking for a 5-star home in a pony or Icelandic horse herd, where she can continue to enjoy ground work and attention. She does not want to be cast aside as a companion horse and needs engagement and a purpose.  

She might also be suitable for breeding, as she has very beautiful movement, is stunningly beautiful, and loves foals. However, selecting the right stallion would require careful consideration to ensure she does not pass on her issues to her foals.
