The handsome Gígjar, with a height of 14.4 hands and a solid build, is one of the larger individuals of his breed. Coupled with an outstanding pedigree, he impresses as a well-rounded package.

His sire is highly approved, and his grandsire, “Spuni frá Vesturkoti,” is well known among breeders and enthusiasts of Icelandic horse breeding. His maternal grandsire is also highly approved, making him especially appealing to breeding enthusiasts.

Thanks to his lineage, he clearly exhibits four distinct gait qualities of excellent standard, which are always easy to ride and impress with their dynamic movement.  
With an ambitious rider, Gígjar can definitely excel in sport disciplines such as four-gait and tölt.  
His temperament is ideal: not too lively, not too slow, not dull, and not overly sensitive.  
Thanks to his friendly and polite nature, he is also perfectly suited as a luxurious leisure horse.

Gígjar is always motivated and eager to work, whether on the riding arena, in the round pen, in the indoor arena, or out in the field.  
He is currently housed in a paddock box with a buddy and shows himself to be very easygoing. He also feels very comfortable within the herd.
