Smooth As Pendleton…a little bit of whiskey is said you calm your nerves and ease the tension, just making you more relaxed… there is not a more fitting name for this guy than Whiskey!!! As a 15.2h, 2021 Model with 11 AQHA points to his resume and over $6800 earnings, Whiskey is no stranger to the spotlight as he has been shown extensively and qualified in 2024 for the AQHA World Show in Ranch Trail (which is a ranch and trail obstacle course that involves cattle and log jumps). He rides low headed on a draped rein, lopes perfect circles, takes his leads, does flying lead changes, spins both ways, side passes, and has a good stop. To say the least he has all the moves and maneuvers that a person could dream of. Just as the pressure of the show pen doesn’t bother Whiskey neither does a roaring rodeo crowd of 3000 people, screaming and cheering as the speakers blare Kid Rock’s song “Born Free”, as he lopes around the arena carrying the flag at the grand entry. While at the rodeo Whiskey has been used to sort, pen and load rodeo bulls. The girls also used Whiskey to give “pony rides” on at 4 different rodeos. They had all ages of kids and adults stand in line for a ride on their horses. Obviously, Whiskey knows his way around the show pen and rodeo arena, but this pretty boy loves to get dirty out on the trails, packing the kids through the mud! Whiskey will build your confidence levels out on the trails and make a nervous beginner look like a seasoned pro! He has been trail ridden extensively in multiple states including, Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, Kentucky, Tennessee and North Carolina. Steep slopes, deep water, deadfall, boggy mud, all sorts of wildlife… nothing phases him, he is not spooky and he is a master on the trails! Whiskey will take care of his rider in any situation or terrain. Whiskey has been ridden around the ranch, he knows his way around cattle and has been roped off as well. He will hold what you tie to him and doesn’t get nerved up in a bad situation. Whiskey is not spooky and is accustomed to tarps, wind dancers, bull whips and gun fire. Whiskey has been ridden in English tack and will jump across the rails with ease. We have had him through town, the drive thru and he is traffic safe. Whiskey loves to take a bath, get soaped up, get his hair done up in braids and loves to spend time with the kids. If you are looking for a horse to show, a horse to trail ride, a horse to do ranch work on, a horse to jump and a horse to do lessons with… instead of buying six horses just buy the all in one and it will be smooth sailing the rest of the way because nothing is as Smooth As Pendleton!!!
