He is 10 years old and will weigh over 1300lbs. Canyon is super friendly and he loves attention! Canyon is a horse for all jobs, anything on the ranch from sorting to pasture roping, to trails up in the rugged mountains or back him in the box and collect a check… he will do it all and do it all- RIGHT! He will carry a nervous beginner, SAFLEY over all terrains on the trails, from steep slopes to rough rocky areas! Canyon has been ridden in multiple states from South Dakota to Wyoming down to Missouri and all around Kentucky. He has been used to pen cattle at the stockyards, he has worked at the feedlot sorting, loading trucks, roping and doctoring sick ones. Canyon has been hauled to jackpots and roped on the head side. He is a gentle, laid back type of horse that is gentle enough for all levels of riders and will build his riders confidence! You can leave him off for a couple months, tack him up, step right on him and he will walk off quietly and gentle. He has a smooth jog, takes his leads in a nice slow lope, spins around each way and has a good stop. He has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife and works well with stock dogs. He is 100% quiet to handle, no quirks, he is not cinchy or cold back. He is a true joy to own and is sure to be a loved addition to anyone’s family for years to come!
