Cowboy is an adorable Welsh Cobb that has a heart of gold and a kind, pleasing personality. At the handy size at 12.2 hands tall and a perfect age of 9 years old, this pony is incredibly broke with a light, easy direct rein or a simple neck rein he will go anywhere you ask. He has a smooth jog or can long trot to keep right up with the big horses. He canters slow and easy and packs a big stop. He is not a forward kind of pony, he has more rate and is laid back. Cowboy is comfortable around lots of dogs, pigs, goats and wildlife. He’s very used to semis and heavy machinery. Cowboy is not easily rattled and has spent a lot of time at the feed yard riding pens and shipping cattle. He has been used just like a big horse. Cowboy is a great pony for a child to learn to rope on. He is content to stand at the dummy and let the kids rope it for hours or track the sled around the arena or track some big slow cattle around. There’s no nonsense at all with Cowboy. He has been to play days and junior rodeos to do everything from the lead line to the 8 and under. He has done barrels, poles, goats, and flags. He is not a patterned pony but is broke and willing to go wherever his kiddos steer him to go. Cowboy is one that never gets fresh, is EASY to catch and only wants to please. He is not buddy or barn sour. He saddles up gentle every day. He will stand for hours of grooming and playing for our little girl and is a complete gentleman to bathe, saddle and load. He has stellar ground manners that give us peace of mind when all our little ones are playing with him.
