💙Bluey💙 is a beautiful blue roan paint gelding that is an all around kid pony deluxe. He is the ideal step-up pony for a kid wanting to run barrels and do playdays but also the perfect babysitter to still get to pleasure ride at home and just have fun going up and down the road bareback, riding double, going to the park, over small jumps and so much more. Bluey is 19 years young and the perfect size at 13 hands tall. Don’t let his age deter you because you will be kicking yourself for missing out on a pony that will change a kid’s life for the better! Bluey has good ground manners, he loads in/out of the trailer easily, picks up all 4 feet and stands good for the farrier, stands tied, loves baths and to be brushed all over. He has a luscious mane for braiding. He comes to you when he sees you and is easy to catch.
Bluey is the most consistent SAFE pony and is the same way every time you get on him no matter how long he’s been turned out.
At home, he is the kind every kid dreams of. He is best partner for pretend-play and will do what he is asked as long as his kid’s imagination can last, he mows the lawn until his rider is ready to ride again. He will ride up and down the busy gravel road, through the ditches, around goats/sheep and dogs. He has been ridden over small jumps and will lope consistent circles and jump them smoothly. He has been ridden on trail rides, through water, downtown around traffic.
At playdays, he is very well mannered. He will stand still tied and never make a fuss no matter how long between events. He is good and calm around the warm up pen/in the arena and other horses. He is safe outside the arena as well and doesn’t mind riding around the chaos. Bluey is mom-approved and has shown countless times that he will bring your kid back to you safely when they get tired. He has been hauled a ton by a single mom with 3 kids and he is the type that is safe enough to step off the trailer, put the kid on and tend to the other kids while he takes care of the one on his back. He has NO alley issues, he doesn’t get crazy or unmanageable in any way. He doesn't have bad habits or any weird quirks. He has placed 1st in youth 3D at barrel races all around our area winning money and buckles, he has placed well at multiple playday series in 8 and under and 9-12 and has helped win several different prizes. He knows the events (barrels, poles, flag race, starightaway, double barrel flag, potato race, etc.) and will run consistent times every time but can be slowed up if a kid wants to go slower through the events. He will calmly stop as soon as he runs out of the arena. There is no funny business with him, he will protect his rider and do what he is asked.
Bluey has no feet issues. He is healthy. He is good with other animals and easy to take care of. This has been the girl's (in the pictures/videos) pony for the past several years and has left a forever mark on her heart. She is stepping up to new horse and we would love for another kid to get the chance to make lifetime memories with Bluey.
