Pepper ist ein 9 Jahre altes, 14,3 Hand John Maultier. Pepper ist das zuverlässige Maultier, von dem Sie wissen, dass Sie es herausziehen können und es Sie sicher ans Ziel bringt. Zum Anbinden steht er ruhig. Er steht zum Aufsitzen und reitet jeden Tag gleich ab, egal ob Sie ihn jeden Tag, einmal im Monat oder einmal im Jahr reiten. Er ist ein Bergziegenpferd, wenn es um die Pfade geht. Für diesen Kerl ist kein Terrain zu rau. Er ist vorsichtig, wo er seine Füße hinsetzt. Er stolpert über Baumstämme, überquert Wasser, geht Ufer hinauf und hinunter, rutscht weiche Fels- und Lehmbänke hinunter und geht auch sonst fast überall hin, wo man hin will. Er reist allein oder mit der Gruppe. Er ist ein großartiges Jagd-Maultier. Er war dieses Jahr auf der Colorado Elchjagd der 3. Saison. Sie können ihn im Dunkeln satteln und ausreiten, um Elche aufzuspüren. Sie können ihn mit Ihrem Rucksack auf und Gewehr Riemen befestigt reiten. Er bleibt ruhig stehen, wenn man anhalten und auskundschaften muss. Er lässt sich nicht aus der Ruhe bringen, wenn Sie auf Maultierhirsche oder sogar Weißwedelhirsche im Osten stoßen. Er steht über Nacht ohne Probleme auf der Highline. Pepper kommt in einer Herde gut zurecht, wenn er herausgelassen wird. Er lässt sich am Halsband führen. Ich würde ihn zwar nicht als echten Gangpferd bezeichnen, aber er hat einen sehr schönen, raumgreifenden Gang. Wenn er in einen Rhythmus kommt, schüttelt er den Kopf und fängt an, mit den Ohren zu wackeln, wie es sich gehört! Er hat auch einen sehr schönen, sanften Schaukelstuhl-Loop. Pepper is a 9 year old, 14.3 hand John mule. Pepper is that reliable mule that you know you can pull out and he will get you safely where you need to go. He stands tied quietly to tack up. He stands to mount, and he will ride off the same every day whether you ride him every day, once a month, or once a year. He is a mountain goat when it comes to the trails. There is not terrain to rough for this guy. He is careful with where he puts his feet. He steps over logs, crosses water, goes up and down banks, slides down soft rock and clay banks, and will go just about anywhere else you want to go. He travels out alone or with the group. He is a great hunting mule. He has been out on 3rd season Colorado Elk Hunt this year. You can saddle him up in the dark and ride out to scout elk. You can ride him with your backpack on and gun sling attached. He stands quietly when you need to stop and scout. He doesn’t get rattled if you come across mule deer, or even white tail back in the east. He stands out on the highline overnight with no issues. Pepper gets along great in a herd situation when turned out. He neck reins. While I would not call him truly gaited, he has an extremely nice, ground covering walk. He gets into a rhythm and he starts head shaking and ear flopping with the best of them! He also has a very nice, smooth rocking chair lope.
