A 10-year-old black beauty, reluctantly offered for sale. Balou is easy to sit and ride, capable of going alone or in a group on the trail. He is never headstrong and is very intelligent. I bought him three years ago as a riding horse, and he was also intended to carry our two small groups in vaulting. Unfortunately, it turned out that he is simply too lively and brisk for the youngest riders. However, he is a bit small for our larger groups. I could definitely see him as a suitable partner for a talented junior vaulting rider. He is fun to ride and has plenty of go, so he is not suitable for beginners or timid riders. That said, he has no bad habits—no bucking, rearing, or balking. In handling, he is now very sweet but still quite dominant. In our gelding herd, he is the boss, but he is very fair and friendly. Disagreements are usually resolved through his presence and ear movements. A stern look occasionally suffices. I am selling him exclusively in free-range or active-stall housing, or in a box with large pastures. Anything else would make him extremely unhappy. As a leisure horse with dressage ambitions, I can also imagine him in that role. He is steady-nerved and has already successfully competed in several driving and vaulting competitions, including some small vaulting events. He is in excellent health, fully vaccinated (including herpes and West Nile), and his teeth have been recently checked and treated. No dealers, not suitable as a school horse. Serious inquiries are welcome to contact me by phone: 0179 2008620.
