Deets is a 4-year-old, 10hh, gelding with the heart of gold every parent dreams of in a pony. This sweet, gentle gentleman adores kids and adults alike, and his quiet, trustworthy nature makes him the kind you’ll want in your barn for years to come. He’s been a steady partner for our beginner 4-year-old son, patiently packing him while lead lining or letting him ride independently in the arena, outside, and even through town like a seasoned veteran. With kids that know the ropes of riding, there’s nothing Deets won’t do for them and will go any pace desired. But like with our son, Deets walks slowly and carefully and has never gotten out of a slow trot with him. He’s the type of pony that just knows, and that’s something you simply can’t train into one and cannot replace. Deets catches both leads, has a good mouth, will step around himself correctly, and is always willing. Nothing rattles him—he’s not spooky around new things, fantastic in new places, good with dogs, great with traffic, handles all obstacles with ease, goes anywhere and everywhere you ask him to, and is even game for a little “cowboys and Indians” fun with a BB gun being shot off his back. He’s easy for kids to catch and handle and will follow them around wherever they want to go with a kind, gentle eye. Always ready for whatever the day brings and whatever crazy idea his kid can come up with, Deets is an absolute favorite with kids and parents alike. Deets is completely sound, blemish free, and UTD on all routine care. He’s easy to be around on the ground for all things, loads and unloads with no issues every time, and is an absolute ham for attention. More than anything, he’s gentle, kind, and genuinely enjoys being with kids—meeting them at the gate, following them wherever they go, and making them feel like the most important person in the world.
