Quality gelding with GP sires, a top dam line and a big jump

Talisker KVS is a 3-year-old Glasgow van’t Merelsnest dark bay gelding out of a Cavalier mare from a top show jumping dam line. Talisker shows strength in his canter and free-jumping. 

He started doing light flatwork under saddle in May 2026 and is an excellent prospect for a professional rider.

- Sire Glasgow van ’t Merelsnest retired from his stellar jumping career in 2022. His career highlights include multiple wins at the World and Nations Cup level, winning the Grand Prix of Rome, and competing with the Dutch National team (the European championships in Gothenburg, the World Equestrian games in Tryon, and anchoring the team in their Nations Cup win at Barcelona). 

- Glasgow currently has more than 60 offspring competing between 1.45 m and 1.60 m. These include Imperial VHF, winner (with rider McLain Ward) of the Nations Cups at Aachen and Rome, and High Five (second in the Nations Cup at Brussels, with rider Fernando Martinez Sommer). 

- Talisker’s dam sire Cavalier, competing as San Patrignano Mister, won over 40 puissance, speed and Grands Prix events in his career.

- Dam Lordana KVS is a 2016 broodmare who demonstrates exceptional natural jumping instinct and passes correct conformation to her offspring. At her 2019 keuring, the KWPN judges recognized the quality and consistency of her movement across all three gaits.

- Lordana is out of Holsteiner stamm 18A2, a top international show jumping mare line that has produced show jumpers such as Calypso, Calvados, Calvadur and Untouchable.
