With a heavy heart, I am seeking a new home for my 2020-born Spanish x Holsteiner mare (Uno I), standing approximately 1.63 meters at the withers.

Montana comes from our own breeding and has been raised and handled with care. Her mother, a Spanish mare with a high Carthusian influence, is available for viewing on-site. Her sire is the Holsteiner stallion Uno 1, descending from Uriko - Colman, based in Marbach. This makes her also an interesting prospect for breeding.

I am selling Montana because I want to pursue higher-level competition, which I cannot dedicate enough time to with her. She is a horse that seeks to be challenged and developed. She enjoys working and especially has great fun in liberty work. In a short time, she has learned Spanish walk, shoulder-in, lateral movements, circles, lying down, and mounting (all also free) on command. 

She is also an excellent partner in the field, promising wonderful riding hours, whether in a group or alone.

I prefer to find experienced leisure riders who enjoy riding out and working with her on the ground or in liberty. She has great potential and motivation in this area, and I hope she will be further encouraged here. Montana is easy to gymnasticize and offers very comfortable gaits. 

In the arena, she always responds lightly to aids but is by no means overly sensitive. She also enjoys small jumps. Due to muscular sensitivity in her hip, she is not suitable for competitive sport. After excessive or intense training, especially jumping, she may show slight irregularity in her gait—however, as a leisure horse (confirmed by a veterinarian), she shows no signs of this under normal riding conditions.

She had a longer break from riding in the middle of last year. For the past three months, she has been ridden again for leisure and is doing very well.

Additionally, I am happy to stay in contact with the new owner after the sale and receive occasional updates. Montana has been my little girl’s dream since birth and is very dear to me.
