ntroducing Lady May!
Lady May is a 4-year-old Friesian cross mare standing 14 hands tall. Don’t let her age fool you; this little mare has quickly become one that I can count on for just about anything.
Lady May has been my main mount for the past several months. Whether I’m wanting a laid-back weekend camping and hitting the trails, checking and gathering cattle, or leading the little ones around, Lady May is always the one I find myself depending on.
She is a confident and willing trail horse that is perfectly content heading out by herself or riding in a group with several other horses. She doesn’t have to be right up front and is just as happy following along behind. She has seen plenty of country and takes on new situations with ease.
Around the barn, Lady May is easy to handle and enjoyable to have around. She picks up all four feet, stands well for the farrier, stands to be bathed, ties, and is easy to catch. She has a sweet personality and enjoys attention.
Lady May has also been used around cattle and is no stranger to a day of work. She’ll go check cattle, help get them gathered up, and then turn around and be the same mare you can take on a relaxing trail ride the next day. She has been exposed to a little bit of everything and has always been willing to do whatever I ask of her.
One of my favorite things about Lady May is her versatility. She can be handy when you need her to be, but she also knows how to slow down and enjoy the ride. She’s the kind that makes it easy to grab your saddle and go without having to make a big production out of it.
At just 4 years old, Lady May has already built a great foundation and has so much ahead of her. She’s cute, handy-sized, willing, and has the kind of experience that makes her stand out. Whether you’re looking for one to trail ride, take camping, use around the farm, or continue on with, Lady May is a fun little mare with a lot to offer.

Ze hoeft niet altijd vooraan te lopen en is net zo blij achteraan te volgen. Ze heeft al veel landschappen gezien en neemt nieuwe situaties moeiteloos in zich op.
In de stal is Lady May makkelijk te hanteren en prettig om in de buurt te hebben. Ze laat alle vier haar benen oppakken, staat goed stil voor de hoefsmid, staat rustig voor een wasbeurt, kan worden aangebonden en is makkelijk te vangen. Ze heeft een lieve persoonlijkheid en geniet van aandacht.
Lady May is ook gebruikt rond de koeien en is geen onbekende met een dagje werk. Ze gaat koeien controleren, helpen met het verzamelen ervan en kan de volgende dag weer ontspannen in de trails rijden. Ze is aan allerlei situaties blootgesteld en doet altijd wat ik van haar vraag.
Een van mijn favoriete eigenschappen van Lady May is haar veelzijdigheid. Ze kan handig zijn wanneer je haar nodig hebt, maar weet ook hoe ze moet vertragen en genieten van de rit. Ze is het type paard dat het makkelijk maakt om je zadel te pakken en erop uit te gaan zonder er een groot gedoe van te maken.
Op slechts 4 jaar heeft Lady May al een goede basis gelegd en heeft ze nog veel voor zich. Ze is schattig, handig van formaat, bereidwillig en beschikt over de ervaring die haar onderscheidt. Of je nu op zoek bent naar een trailpaard, een kampeermaatje, een werkpaard op de boerderij of een paard om verder mee te rijden, Lady May is een leuke kleine merrie met veel te bieden.
