Shining ist ein 17 Jahre alter Saddlebred Wallach. Seit 5 Jahren ist er als Reittherapiepferd für Kinder bis 12 Jahren im Einsatz und macht dabei eine unglaublich schöne Figur. Er wird gebisslos und mit einem Physio Reitpad geritten. Er mag Platzarbeit lieber als Ausritte. Außerdem hat er 4 Gänge und kann einen ausladenden Showtölt gehen . Regelmäßige Zahnarztbesuche und alle 6 Wochen Barhufpflege bekommt er auch. Im Sommer trägt er vorne gerne Hufschuhe an. Er ist aktuell als Reitpferd für schwerere Erwachsene nur bedingt geeignet, da er einen langen und etwas instabilen Rücken hat, der erst wieder auftrainiert werden muss, wenn er gesund mehr als 60 Kg tragen soll. Er ist vom Boden sehr zuverlässig zu händeln, fast nicht zu erschrecken, obwohl er schon ein kleinerer Ferrari sein kann. Ein klassisches Showpferd eben. Er wird nur in die besten Hände abgegeben. Das bedeutet für mich einen Menschen oder Familie, der/die viel Liebe, Zeit und Geduld hat. Und nur in einen großen Offenstall, am besten mit Paddocktrail. Eine kleine, ruhige Herde reicht ihm. Er kann problemlos mit Stuten gehalten werden. Was er nicht mag ist Hänger fahren. Allerdings haben wir dieses Thema in den letzen Jahren nicht weiter behandelt.
