Flashed By A Bartender aka Ruby is just as her name describes, a gem. If you’re looking for versatile and user friendly, this is your gal! I’ve had Ruby in my program since June of 2025 and had the privilege of purchasing her from the person that raised her from a yearling. She hasn’t been passed around and I know her like the back of my hand. If I need to stick someone on a horse and I’m not entirely confident that they actually know how to ride, Ruby’s my go to gal. She has been SOO easy! Point and shoot, she’ll go for you. She has a very smooth trot and a nice short, comfortable lope, making her enjoyable to ride all day. Extend her trot and move out or sit down and ask for her sweet little jog, she does it with ease. Ruby has all the buttons a person could ask for but is also one that you don’t have to worry about accidentally pushing a button and confusing her, she’s very forgiving. Neck reining, side passes, pivot on the forehand or haunches, open/close gates, pony colts, flag colts, I could go on and on about what this gal can do and has done. She knows how to carry herself correctly and look good while doing it. Ranch versatility would be right up her alley! Don’t get to ride every day? Not a problem for Ruby. She handles time off very well and doesn’t throw a fuss. Turn outs, stalls, or pastures, she’s been in it all and doesn’t have any issues. Ruby hauls to new places well and stands at the trailer quietly. Shes been to many barrel racing jackpots for expos, as well as a few ropings and she handles the atmosphere great. I’ve patterned Ruby on the barrels and she does high lope a very nice pattern VERY easily. She would be great for a youth or someone not looking to win the 1D to run barrels on. I’ve also sorted cattle and roped with Ruby and she loves it all. She goes to cattle and doesn’t mind getting in the herd and pushing on them if she has to. Ruby is easy to be around, and kind-natured. She loves to be loved on! She’s the type that fits well into just about any program. She’d stand all day to be brushed or bathed, stands for the farrier, vet, saddling, mounting, etc. Ruby stands 14.3 hands and is located in Stephenville, TX.
