A 2020 AQHA bred sorrel mare. She is by First Place Eagle (who is by One Famous Eagle - Speed Index of 101 TWO-TIME WORLD CHAMPION SIRE/ THREE-TIME ALL AMERICAN FUTURITY SIRE) and out of a First Down Dash dam.

Heatwave is the one we rely on for ALL things. Whether we are doctoring and gathering cattle, flagging the ropings, breaking in the steers, breaking yearling colts, or going on elk hunts - she is the horse we use! We have ranched over 50,000 acres across northern Colorado in some tough terrain elements.
This mare is super strong and willing. She never gets hot minded or panics in any situation you put her in. She has a solid foundation, is very broke to ride around, knows her job on what to do. We have headed and heeled off of her. Ranched on her. Branded on her. She knows the barrels/ this spring was loping a nice pattern. She is as solid as they come!! Can go any direction you please!!
You won’t find a horse any better than can do it all. She is super safe. Has never bucked- we’ve saddled her in freezing cold temperatures in Colorado and went up the mountain. She is bred outstanding for breeding success - if that is a route you’d like to take. Just an over all exception to anyone’s program.
She has never been sick - she does have a few scars from a yearling that are superficial across her chest/top of front legs area. Nothing more than a few switches. Buyer is more than welcome to have a pre purchase exam done. We have used her hard and she has never became lame. I have X-rays on file to send to someone!
