"✨For your consideration: KKDriftwoodSixString — affectionately known as “Sissy”✨
Where buttons meet babysitter — and style meets substance.

We’re thrilled to offer “Sissy” to the perfect home. Standing 13.2 at the wither and 13.3 at the hip, she’s expected to finish out right around 13.3 hands — a compact size that, paired with her solid, stocky build, makes her the ideal candidate for a family horse. She’s just the right height for kids to grow up with, yet sturdy and balanced enough to comfortably carry smaller adults as well. This 2022 AQHA mare has that rare blend of broke enough to please a trainer, kind enough for a kid, and pretty enough to turn heads wherever she goes. She’s the real deal — the kind you can hand the reins to a beginner, then turn around and tune up for the show pen or trail challenges. She’s also versatile enough to head in just about any direction — try your hand at working cows, roping, gaming events, ranch riding, or even take her over fences in the hunter class. She’s got the willingness and ability to excel wherever you point her.

Under saddle? She’s got the full toolkit:
-Smooth and steady walk, jog, and lope
-Picks up both leads and lopes off her hip
-Soft and responsive in the bridle
-Sidepasses both ways, has shoulder and hip control
-Solid stop and light, easy backup
-Hum trained
-Great on the trail — rides out alone or in company
-Will pick you up at the mounting block or stand quietly to ground mount
-Has been ridden western, english, and bareback — take your pick

We’ve opened and closed gates on her, dragged a tire, desensitized her with tarps, and used her in beginner lessons. She’s safe, sane, and steady — tested by kids and approved by parents.

Around the farm, she’s a gem:
-Gets along with everyone in the pasture — zero “red mare” drama
-Sweet, personable, and respectful — both on the ground and under saddle
-No vices: no buck, bite, bolt, kick, rear, etc.
-Stands ground tied or tied to a post or patience post
-A dream for the vet, farrier, and dentist
-Loads in the trailer and will have another loading session prior to leaving
-Easy to catch (though truthfully, she’s usually halfway to you before you make it inside the gate)
-Stands to be rinsed or bathed

We truly adore this mare, and it shows. She’d be a top-notch addition to a lesson program, a steady-eddy family horse, or a kid’s best friend. Whether you’re looking for a reliable trail horse, a low-fuss show partner, or a do-it-all kind of horse, Sissy checks every box. She’s handy enough to make a great using horse, yet pretty and eye-catching enough to turn into a show horse with ease. It wouldn’t take much at all to start her on pushing or working cows, roping, running a pattern, or over fences — we’re more than happy to work with a potential buyer on getting her started in any of those areas if that’s where your goals lie. We know she’d thrive in just about any loving home, I’d personally love to see her end up with a handy kid who wants to go out and compete — she’s got all the right tools and the right mind to excel without the height that can be intimidating to kids.

Don’t miss out on this one — horses like this don’t come around often. She reminds me so much of the pony I had growing up — the kind you take everywhere, try just about every discipline on, and end up with a fan club everywhere you go. She fits right into the “worth their weight in gold” category.
