🐠Dory is dappled buckskin mare that is a finished winning rope horse. Has won in both the heeling and breakaway roping. This is one you don’t see come up for grabs very often. She is 15 yrs old and stands the perfect size of 14.2 hands tall. Not too big but not too small. If you are looking to teach your kids how to compete and win this would be your girl. Dory would be ideal for a beginner or novice. She is super quiet and easy to ride. Quite in the box. Backs right in with no problems. Leaves the box flat and easy. Not going to scare a kid or beginner when she leaves the box trying to learn. She does not get hyper or high strung. Not a high powered supercharged type horse. She is a laid back go with the flow type. Easy to ride and handle. She will do anything you ask her to do. She loves her job, most importantly she loves kids. She has been well trained and seasoned. She is ready to go on and teach someone else.
If you are not into roping or when you finished roping she is the perfect trail/pleasure riding horse too. She has been used out on a ranch and has had all the real world experiences. She is the total package. Which also is a plus that she is really broke and so versatile. She is just so easy and fun to ride. She is that old school foundation one hand broke. Perfect little short lope. We have took her out of the trails and took her through town. She is not scared of anything. She is not spooky. She loves trail riding. She especially loves crossing water. She loves to swim. I never seen a horse that loved to swim as much as her. That’s how she got her name. She was a fish in another lifetime. 😂
Dory knows all the little playday events. Won several ribbons and buckles at local fun shows. Been hauled and competed on by the little kids. She is a perfect one for kids to learn on. She will go the speed you ask her to go. She is not a runaway or super quick horse. Which is why she is so perfect for the little kids to get on her and learn.
Dory requires absolutely no experience to own and operate her. She is an easy keeper. 100% sound and safe with no issues whatsoever. No bad habits at all. No quirks. No warming her up or tuning her up. No matter how long it’s been since you rode her last. You can catch her fresh out of the pasture and just hop on her. You can have all the confidence in the world that she is safe and dependable. EVERY TIME! She did have a pre-vet evaluation done which found her to be in perfect health with no issues.
