🦄 Delta Dawn 🦄
We all know- it’s almost impossible to find a horse that’s super safe and trustworthy- the right age, the right size, and has that eye appeal! And yes… it usually is. But the key word is almost, because Delta Dawn checks every single one of those boxes.
She is a registered AQHA palomino mare with that golden color everyone loves, a beautiful Quarter Horse head, and a kind, soft eye. But more importantly, she is safe and reliable day in and day out. The kind of mare that you don’t have to second guess, and that you will not regret investing in!
On the ground, Delta Dawn is an absolute doll. She is kind, quiet, and patient, with phenomenal manners and no fuss about anything. She stalls beautifully, loads and hauls well- stands tied politely, bathes and is excellent for the vet and farrier. Easy to turn out and blend with any herd, and just as easy to handle in a busy barn or crowded arena. She’s the same quiet mare whether you ride every day, or with time off. Delta Dawn is such a special mare, and it makes your life easier having her around!
She genuinely enjoys attention and has such a gentle, kind nature about her, but where I think she really stands out is how family friendly she is. She adapts so naturally to each rider. We trust her with kids and beginners, and she is also enjoyable for someone more experienced as well. Steady, forgiving, and honest. We’ve had a wide range of riders on her, including timid ones who struggle with balance, and Delta Dawn somehow meets them right where they are and takes care of them every step of the way. She really tries so hard to please and it shows.
Out on the trails, she’s exactly what everyone is looking for. She’s happy to just walk along on a loose rein, wherever you place her in the group. She’ll go through water, mud, over logs, and rough ground without hesitation. You can truly relax and enjoy your surroundings on a mare like her with such calm confidence. She’s been ridden around cattle, checking fences, downtown around traffic, etc- easy to ride in different environments. She is used to the regular farm chaos like tractors, equipment, dogs, and everything else that comes with a busy place- none of it phases her.
To sum things up, Delta Dawn is a rock solid family horse and I take hundreds of calls and messages from people searching for one just like this… and most of the time, they don’t exist.
