D Bar Twist A Top aka Jackrabbit is a 15H, 2017 Model registered AQHA Buckskin gelding with a pedigree that anyone will love! Hi sire is Dun It With A Twist who is by the Legendary Hollywood Dun It, he has Genuine As Diamonds and the Famous Peppy San Badger on his papers as well. Jackrabbit is seasoned ranch gelding that has been all over – he’s been used on big ranches in New Mexico, Colorado, and in Texas – and he has done his job well with all different levels of riders on him. He is extremely smooth gaited and has the most tolerant kind take-care-of-you personality, he aims to please PERIOD in all situations. He has an incredibly solid, mature-beyond-his-years disposition. He is an own son of Dun It With A Twist and he is out of an old-school Genuine Doc Peponita Pine X Watch Joe Jack bred mare. This cool gelding got his name from his ridiculous endearing little/but large, can’t-help-but-love-em ears – they are unique and adorable!! He is like an all-terrain vehicle!!! He literally can go up, over, into, and through almost anything you point him at – and he does it gracefully, willingly, and boldly while still also being careful where he puts himself and his rider. He absolutely loves going into town, he genuinely enjoys seeing everything new and meeting the people. He hops right on the trailer and has absolutely no vices or bad habits. He will ride out alone willingly and has many many miles riding out in the open alone. He is easy to mount and dismount and is extremely uncomplicated to ride. He has a nice handle on him, you can ride him anywhere with one hand and he travels comfortably at all three gaits. He easily picks up either lead, has a great stop, back up, and turn around on him. He is naturally very balanced, low headed, and relaxed. He has worked more gates than you can count and knows his job there. He has sorted in the actual sorting pens for years, and would make a great horse for the sorting or penning competitions – he’s done that job in real life, for hours and hours for several days and he knows the deal! He has also been lightly started in the roping pen and is just the right age to start hauling and seasoning for that job. He does have some speed and run when you ask him, and would make a great all-around Junior, High School, or College rodeo horse. Has a ton of natural rate and stop, and plenty of cow – would quickly make a breakaway horse as well. He is a flat, level, and cute enough mover to also be very capable of playing around at the local entry level ranch horse competitions, or go to 4-H and be competitive. A gelding this versatile, athletic, seasoned – plus kind natured, and this perfect age – plus BUCKSKIN, is not a gelding we get every week. Come check him out anytime! Jackrabbit was just recently maintained by the chiropractor, the equine dentist, and was just shod by the farrier, wormed, and he has a fresh Coggins. We can quickly and easily get travel health papers drawn up anywhere you need him to go. He will arrive to his new owner with all cares in order and ready to do whatever job you have for him.
