Pudding is a beautiful golden palomino gelding that has truly done a little bit of everything. From pulling kids on a sled through the winter snow to helping with spring branding and fall cattle gathering, he has proven himself to be a dependable and versatile ranch partner. We have owned him for a year and a half and he has been tried, true and proven in all seasons, terrain and weather.
He has tracked and dragged the roping dummy, worked cattle, and logged many miles in the mountains. Pudding is sure-footed, confident, and goes wherever he is pointed — crossing creeks, traveling through brush, and staying steady on the trail. Whether riding out alone or with a group, he is quiet, willing, and dependable in any position.
One of Pudding’s best qualities is his consistency. You can give him time off and saddle him up knowing he will be the same horse every ride. He is gentle, easy to catch, and enjoys attention, making him a favorite around the barn and safe for the whole family to enjoy.
In the arena, Pudding picks up his leads, lopes nice circles, has a good stop, and is smooth and comfortable at all gaits. He carries his head leave and is easy to ride. He gets along well in a mixed herd and is accustomed to all kinds of livestock including cattle, pigs, llamas, goats, and poultry.
He stands well for the farrier, loads and backs out of the trailer easily, and hauls quietly. Pudding is up to date on vaccinations and age-verified by a veterinarian. PPEs welcome. We are glad to help arrange transportation anywhere. We have a list of reliable haulers that we can coordinate with and we will be glad to keep him at our place until transportation can be arranged.
