Quick N Sparky is a 2020 gelding standing 14.3 hands. “Benny” is a strong built gelding with a huge hip, stout shoulders and huge bone and a size 1 shoe, the classic American quarter horse build you just can’t find these days. Benny has an unmatched work ethic, he has been on the payroll his entire life working large cattle operations, both in feed yards and in big country. He is kind, safe and reliable no matter how much time he’s had off. He is always an honest gentleman with great manners, stands tied quietly, easy to catch, hauls great, is a gentleman to shoe and is content to turn out with other horses or be in a stall. Benny has a solid introduction as both a head and heel horse. He is the perfect size to be a switch ender with his strong build yet he is a great height to where he is still quick footed with a great stride. Benny watches a cow great, rates well and has plenty of run making him super easy to rope on. He is strong to the horn, reads your throw and has a great stop on the heel side. He’s at the perfect place in his career where the hard part is over, he knows his job yet if you wanted to tweak his style at all he is willing and has all the try to do whatever you ask of him. Like his breeding suggests, Benny comes from a cowhorse training background and is equipped with lead changes, spins, slide stops and rides on a loose rein. He is easily one of the smoothest movers in all gaits we have owned. Benny has a true ranch horse walk that swings your reins and covers country. He is extremely sure footed even in the rockiest, steepest country and is always willing to go wherever you point him. He crosses water as well and genuinely enjoys being ridden and used. You will be hard pressed to find one as correct built and hard working with as much experience as Benny has.
