Ranch Riding Champion – IRHA money earner – Open Caliber Show Talent – Amateur friendly disposition! “KISS THIS PALE FACE” (Smooch) is an AQHA registered palomino gelding.
Smooch is by a son of the great PALE FACE DUNNIT (OE $4,381,554+) so there is no shortage of talent in anything he does!
He stands at 15h and has excellent bone and foot. No vices. No maintenance.
I've owned him since he was a weanling. I raised him, fed him, trained him and know everything about him. At 4 years old, Smooch has already had a lot invested into him. He's kind and intelligent and wants to please.
He was started right with a very solid foundation. We let him be who he wanted to be, and he chose to be a Rock Star.
He is one of the most versatile horses you'll ever have the chance to own.
With Ranch Riding as our focus, his transitions are FLAWLESS. He's a STANDOUT mover with a gorgeous, rocking-horse lope and killer extended lope!
He moves with so much presence that you'd get noticed every time in the show pen even without his stunning dappled palomino coat, 4 white socks, and blaze. But the chrome is definitely a bonus!
His extended trot is to die for. As a professional trainer, I don't think I've trained or met a horse with better or prettier extension. He spins, stops, backs, has a beautiful sidepass and EFFORTLESS flying lead changes. His circles are immaculate, large fast and small slow. Smooch has enough talent to venture into the reining pen as well.
Smooch has such an incredible feel to him. He's soft in the face and off the leg. He wants to do his job right. He shows up ever day and gives 110% to everything I ask of him.
He's been shown and has won multiple ranch classes. Not spooky in the arena. He hauls, ties and bathes perfectly. Stands in his stall quietly. He's a gentleman for the farrier. Speaking of which, his feet are incredibly solid! He grows really good hoof and has been barefoot in the front all his life (sliders on the back).
Even though our focus is training Ranch Riding horses, Smooch's talent definitely doesn't stop there. If showing isn't your thing, he's happy to go take a ride around the obstacle course or down the trail. I've had miles and miles on him outside the arena. He's been to big rodeos and is super sane around all the chaos.
Ride him bareback in a halter if you like, he doesn't care.
If you're an English girly, I've got you! Smooch is STUNNING in english tack and rides perfectly no matter what he's wearing. He's been jumped some and approaches fences with ease and confidence.
And if you're still like “ehhh, I need something more niche.” Hear me out...we've done garocha!
A little western dressage?
If you're looking for a working equitation horse, I don't know if there's another task Smooch would be more suited for. Like I said before, his movement is so beautiful. He has so much natural elevation and balance and drives so deep in the hip at every gait.
Smooch has just about done it all. You can swing a rope off of him, drag ride over a tarp or carry a flag. He crosses water, bridges, and trailer loads with ease.
Fitting of his name, Smooch loves people and is always sweet and personable. He enjoys being turned out or in a stall. Super easy to catch!
100% sound. Absolutely no vices. Don't ask me “what's his worst trait?”. He doesn't have one. We're just waiting for his unicorn horn to come in.and don't hesitate to call Jacqueline at 865-266-0322 with any questions!
