Boone is a super gentle and friendly AQHA blue roan gelding that sticks out in any crowd. He has all the charisma, charm, and characteristics that one could hope to find in a lifetime partner and friend. He loves attention, and is easy to ride. He's 3, but rides better than most geldings 3 times his age. He stands a strong 15hh is kind, easy on the eyes, and a joy to be around.
Boone is no stranger to work and has been used in many different environments. He's great in the mountains and desert, maneuvering his way around rocks, downfall, bridges, logs, brush, water, bogs, and other obstacles, all with ease. Boone is really soft in all his body parts including the poll and neck, and shoulders, ribs, and hind quarters making him a pretty mover in the arena ready for someone to make him their next eventing or ranch versatility prospect. Boone rides with his head low, collects up nicely, picks up his leads and stops all on a loose rein. He's starting to spin, and when he moves, he moves effortlessly with ease and confidence.
Boone is a gentleman on the ground and comes with great manners. He's so kind and respectful of the little ones on the ground and enjoys to be loved on. He always aims to please and listen.
Boone has been started out of the box on both head and heel side, roping the dummy, as well as some slow steers to develop his confidence. He has a great sense of feel and timing, scores good, loves his job, and is strong from the horn.
On the ranch he's been exposed to all of the daily chores of gathering cows in grizzly bear country, doctoring, checking pastures, starting colts, etc.. Boone has been desensitized to a variety of different obstacles, tools, and situations including cars and atvs, whips, tarps, noodles, flags, plastic bags, ropes, teeter totter bridges, etc... Whether you're riding him as your next prospect in the arena, capturing the emotions of the crowd, or gathering the respect of cowboys on the ranch, Boone is a definite stand out that any ranch or owner would be fortunate to have.
