From the AQHA to the local shows to the trail rides.. this guy will keep you in the spotlight!
DISPOSITION: Clifford is the definition of a loving, easy going big gelding. He loves bath time, he loves belly scratches and he will smile for cookies! Clifford has a great in your pocket personality thats easy to love! Clifford stands like a statue for grooming, washing, saddling, mounting block and he’s extremely easy to bridle! Clifford is well suited for all ages and sizes. From the lesson barns, the show barns and the trail riding homes.. I think everyone is sure to enjoy this big beautiful boy!
WESTERN EXPERIENCE: Clifford was professionally started and trained as a Reiner. He’s got all the fancy bells and whistles without being overly sensitive to riders cues. He’s more like a slow motion Reiner that excels in the ranch riding/pleasure. Clifford has phenomenal transitions with nice, easy, smooth consistent gaits. He’s got a very nice easy jog and a very comfortable lope. Clifford will ride off of leg or seat cues for the more advanced riders or you can just neck rein him around for those learning the ropes. When you’re ready to slow down just say the word whoa and Clifford will come to a safe, easy stop. Clifford really stands out in the ranch classes!
If you just want to trail ride you’ll really enjoy every time you climb onboard! Clifford ties quietly to the side of the trailer for convenient tacking up. No spook or silly business. Clifford doesn’t mind the wildlife, cows, traffic, dogs or any other things you see out on the trails. He loves the water, he goes up, over, under and through anything you point him at! He will ride out along or in a group. He will also ride front, back or middle of the pack. You can also lope away leaving him behind or run up behind him.. nothing bothers him!
ENGLISH EXPERIENCE: Clifford is just starting his English riding career and he not only loves it.. he’s amazing under English tack! He will absolutely stand out in the HUS classes! He’s amazing! Clifford also goes right to the jumps! He’s brave, easy and honest! Clifford has a bright future in the Hunter ring!
UPKEEP: Clifford is currently eating free choice alfalfa and 1 1/2 scoops of basic pellets twice a day. No supplements or maintenance required to keep this guy sound! We do have shoes on Clifford all the way around as a personal preference. Would be happy to pull back shoes before hauling.
TURNOUT: Clifford is quiet in a group or single turnout. Not aggressive and doesn’t go looking for a fight. He’s very playful and really likes to put on a show for the camera! Just a happy go lucky guy!
GROUND MANNERS: Clifford is a perfect gentleman on the ground. He’s very aware of personal space and little toes! He’s quiet and gentle enough for even the little ones to tote around. Loads and unloads easily. Stands single tied and cross-tied.
BAD HABITS/ VICES: Clifford has no bad habits or vices. No bite, kick, rear, buck or bolt.
TACK: Clifford will ride bareback, English or western. He will ride in a halter and lead rope, a snaffle, a short shank snaffle or just about anything you want to try. He’s really not picky.
BOARDING: Temporary board is available to arrange pick up. Absolutely no rush. Coggins and health certificate will be provided and in hand for hauler.
