Bourbon is the family-safe trail horse everyone is looking for and the true definition of a unicorn that is absolutely safe for everyone. Bourbon is 10yrs old and stands about 15.2 hands tall and has a gorgeous flax mane and long full tail. He has been extensively trail rode, rode in parades and shown by a 65yr old lady for the past 7years. Her health declined and was unable to ride anymore is the only reason he came up for sale.
Bourbon is the type of horse that if you can sit in the saddle and hold the reins you can ride Bourbon and he will take care of you. These don’t come available very often and he’s definitely a one of a kind.
He is a point and go type of horse. He has been hauled and trail ridden extensively through many different types of terrain. He is sure footed and honest. Bourbon is not spooky and will cross creeks, go through any body type of water, thick brush, logs, bridges, rough terrain and up and down cliffs with ease. He has been rode on the road and is use to all kinds of traffic, heavy machinery and ATV’s. He is also dog safe. You can ride Bourbon out alone with ease or with other horses. He will make a great horse for any level of rider.
Bourbon will neck rein or you can ride him two handed, W/T/C, and has a nice slow lope, hauls good, bathes good, stands good for farrier and to be saddled and mounted. Suitable for any level rider. Great on picket line and over night camping. He stands quiet with no nonsense. He is easy to catch and loves attention. Bourbon is great in a stall or you can turn him out on pasture.
