Amarillo is a Dun colored, 10 year old, 15h Grade QH Gelding. He is a total heartthrob with good looks and the best personality. Gain confidence through having a consistent horse. This horse offers dependability and consistency through which you can easily gain confidence and enjoy without worrying about a thing.
Horses like this do not come along often. What makes this horse special is that he is always agreeable and sensible with great manners. He is good for kids, beginners, husbands and goes both English and Western. This horse is a baby sitter type in every environment. He is so kind he always wants to do right by his rider regardless of their ability and age.
He has Flying Changes and Goes Swimming as seen in his video!
We have a Pre Purchase Exam that you can view! Reach out and I can email it to you so that you have confidence bidding on him.
Developed at a Circuit Hunter/Jumper Show barn; this horse has training behind him. He moves off leg pressure, does basic lateral movements, and is a fantastic jumper. He is brave and jumps all types of fillers, walls, coops, cross country jumps and stadium jumps. He is careful and brave in any environment, which can easily be recognized in his video.
He is well broke English and Western and even rides bridleless! Super versatile gelding with that incredible gelding brain everybody wants. He is well balanced and has the best brain. He would excel at Dressage, Eventing, Fox Hunting, Vaulting, Police Work, Pleasure, Ranch or Jumpers. THIS IS A SOLID CITIZEN. He has been tested and approved by children and riders of all levels. He is currently being ridden by a 16 year old Child hunter rider, but has also been ridden by my daughter who’s 90 pounds and trail ridden by adult nervous beginners.
Amarillo is as FANCY as they come. He has been a ranch horse and go-to cow horse in his past. He has enough style and class to get you noticed regardless of the type of riding you are performing. He neck reins and direct reins, as he knows both English and Western well.
Amarillo happily goes wherever you point him. He has logged many miles of trails and doctored cattle, penned, sorted, and was used in camps and trail rides.
He is a great trail horse and crosses water and goes by the road. He is not bothered by traffic, sirens, bikes, dogs, goat, gun fire noise. Sensible and easy to enjoy off property and in new environments. He is easy to load and ships calmly. He ties to the trailer and waits patiently for you to get yourself ready off farm.
He is good around various farm animals and hacks out alone or in groups with young riders aboard. He is the same if you ride him everyday or once a week. No Prep, No Lunging, No Supplements, No Maintenance, No known issues of any kind or vices, No special needs. This is an easy lovely gelding with great feet and solid build.
He is a sweetheart on the ground and good around younger kids, goats, cats, dogs, and construction equipment. We live next to a gun range and he’s used to hearing gun fire and construction equipment. Check out his video where you can watch him visit Tractor Supply and McDonald’s in addition to him going Cross Country and Show Jumping.
Super soft mouth and easy to adjust to your aids. He’s a pleasure to work with and comfortable if you have back or neck issues.
He is good for the farrier and vet, leads from the golf cart, and is of solid mind. Easy going in a herd and can be turned out or stalled. He rides bareback to and from his field.
He has a snuggly personality and wants to be groomed and loved on all day. Never pushy and just wants to be with you. He will choose to hang out with you over other horses.
Amarillo is sound and free of any vices. He is an easy keeper and a barn favorite. Whether you are learning to ride, a re-rider timid adult, looking for a family or child horse Amarillo will fit right in.
This is the horse that you look forward to seeing on a rainy day. He will be your Happily Ever After.
