✨ Introducing Set Him Up Right — “Sammy” ✨
Sammy is a registered AQHA Red Dun Roan gelding with exceptional breeding, tracing back to Two Eyed Jack and Two ID Bartender. Not only is he well bred, but he also has the kind of quiet, willing mind everyone looks for.
Standing 14.3 hands with a solid, correct build, Sammy has strong legs and great feet. He is truly an “in-your-pocket” kind of horse—friendly, kind, and eager to be around his people. He has excellent ground manners, leads quietly, moves off when asked, and happily follows you around the barn.
Under saddle, Sammy is very well broke. He moves easily off leg pressure, side passes, opens and closes gates, and has a smooth, correct turnaround. He has a soft one-handed neck rein and one of the smoothest one-step lopes you’ll find. He rides just as nicely on a loose rein as he does when collected, setting his head naturally and moving beautifully. He walks, trots, and lopes willingly, picks up both leads with ease, and is confident wherever you point him—on the trail, alone or in a group, with no funny business.
Sammy would make an excellent 4-H prospect in English, Western, or games, with the mind and versatility to succeed in many disciplines. If you’re simply looking for a safe, honest trail horse that anyone can enjoy, Sammy checks all the boxes.
He is easy to handle in every way—picks up all four feet, stands well for the farrier and veterinarian, ties quietly, bathes, and hauls without issue. He does well stalled or turned out, gets along with other horses, and is low on the pecking order. There truly isn’t a mean bone in his body.
✅ Current on health evaluation
✅ Coggins
✅ Rabies & 5-way vaccinations
Sammy is the kind that’s hard to find—safe, broke, kind, and versatile. A wonderful partner for the whole family
