Blue is a 2019, 15hh, blue roan, smooth-gaited, registered Tenneses walker. He’s been a ranch Favorite by everyone since the day we brought him home 3 years ago. There’s not much Blue hasn’t done; from chasing Grizzly bears to riding in the big Fourth of July parade, nothing seems to faze him. He’s packed; elk, bighorn sheep, mountain lions, little children, grandmas, and everything you could ever want. He’s led the pack string or can go anywhere in it. Blues is the perfect family horse. He’s suitable for beginners, children, and experienced riders alike. He adjusts his energy to match his rider, making even the most inexperienced rider comfortable. Blue can travel at the pace of a slower breed or really move out with the gaited crowd. Blue’s gait is beer-drinking smooth and is really fun to cover country. He’s been in lots of rough country and is extremely sure-footed. We live in the middle of the Rocky Mountains, so when I say rough, I mean it, down timber, ice, mud, bogs, dogs, ditches, shallows, rivers, snow, bikes, and anything you can imagine. Blues never fazed. The Cody Wy Fourth of July parade is one of the bigger ones in the country, and Blue was selected as an outrider’s horse and didn’t shirk the task. He handled all the commotion from helicopters, marching bands, fire trucks, and floats wonderfully. He’s fun to ride bareback in a halter and always clutch in the heat of the moment. Our girls have been known to catch him and ride him bareback in a halter by themselves with OUT permission lol. He’s a trustworthy babysitter. Blues never offered to buck or run off, he catches you in the pasture, is a dream to shoe, saddle, bridle, and be around—absolutely no vices. My family and I live on a private ranch in Wyoming just outside of Yellowstone National Park. We don’t just come to visit; we live in the mountains, making our living from our horses. They are exposed to wildlife and the elements every day. We’re NOT traders! We only offer a couple of our best horses each year, and lucky for you, this is Blue’s year. There’s sure to be some wet eyes when Blue leaves, but they always end up at wonderful homes, and new friends are made. There’s no “gotcha” with Blue if you don’t see something, it’s because I forgot to put it in. Bid with confidence on this once-in-a-lifetime gelding.
