Angus is a fun and remarkable trail partner. Standing 14 hands, he is a good size for almost any rider. Angus loves people and loves to get in the woods. He has a super smooth 4-beat flat foot walk and can keep up with most gaited horses’ walk.
He drops his head on a loose rein and walks slowly with the quarter horse types. Being naturally curious, Angus is willing to accept that any challenge will go where he is pointed, and he has the stamina to go all day.

Angus is sure-footed and has been ridden in rugged terrain, even when he has to pony another horse! He is good with the farrier, loads, bathes, fly sprays, and clips. He plunges through creeks and puddles on the trail, over logs, through ditches, and around traffic on the highway and dirt roads. He will pack saddle and horn bags and is unscathed by another passenger. I have ridden him many miles by himself and also with crowds. He will lead or follow with ease.

You can catch Angus anywhere, and I have been on him bareback with a halter and lead rope around the barn. He has two dog buddies and has no fear of dogs. He is in the middle of the pecking order here and has been in with older mares as well as 2-year-olds, whom he loves to play with.

Angus is ready for his forever partner and will be a delight to own. He is an excellent prospect for the advanced beginner type who is confident enough to remind him that the trail is not his personal buffet, and able to guide him when needed.

Please text or call me to arrange to meet Angus. His kind disposition and easy-going personality will be sure to win you over!
