Dubai Only FW's sire, the stallion Vanilla Ice de Tamise, likely inherited his coat color and certain traits from his dam's side. His grandmother is the renowned mare Southern Queen xx, who is among other accomplishments the dam of the international-class stallions Fletch van ’t Verahof and Leipheimer van ’t Verahof. Laguna van ’t Verahof’s mother is a daughter of the cream-colored Valley stallion Cream On Top, himself a son of Concorde. His jumping ability is further enhanced by traits from his sire, Kasanova de la Pomme.

His dam, the mare Dalida Red Wine, is a daughter of the once top-ranked stallion Kannan, who, although of Dutch breeding, achieved his sporting success representing France. Kannan descends from the Furioso xx line and proved to be an extremely valuable sire, producing, among others, the 2012 London Olympic gold medalist Nino du Buisonnets (Steve Guerdat). Diablotta’s dam line belongs to the Holstein Stamm 826 family and traces directly back to the dam of the famous Holstein stallion Caretino, who was ridden in international Grand Prix competitions by Ludger Beerbaum. Caretino is also the sire of the modern Holstein legend Casall (Rolf-Göran Bengtsson).
