If you’ve got a handy kiddo that wants a REAL broke pony to ride.. Little Man is your guy!
Little Man is a 6yr old 48 in black and white pony gelding. As handy as a shirt pocket and as cute as a button! Too broke for the timid kiddos!
WESTERN EXPERIENCE: Little Man has been ridden like a ranch horse. He’s been pasture roped off as well as backed in the box and used on the heel side. He will rope the sled or live cows! If you’re brave enough to track it.. he’s brave enough to go to it! He will put you in the right spot and stop hard! Little Man has a great one hand neck rein, he catches both leads easily and lopes really nice circles! When you’re done and just wanting to stand around and chit chat.. he will stand there all day long on a loose rein! Little Man is also hands down the best trail pony we’ve ever had! He will go over, under and through anything you point him at! He’s like a little Billy goat the way he will hook in and go up even the steepest hills! He loves the water as well! Absolutely zero hesitation even in the fast flowing rivers! The kiddos will love racing with their friends also! This pony can book it when asked! Then just walk off quietly on a loose rein!
Want to use him for the playdays? He will do that too! He’s got a decent little start on the barrels and poles as well!
ENGLISH EXPERIENCE: My girls have started Little Man in the English world. He takes right to the saddle and trots around so cute! He will also go right over the jumps with zero hesitation with the cutest little knees! He’s a great hunter, jumper or even cross country prospect!
DISPOSITION: Little Man is very sweet and gentle. He’s got a kind disposition and really aims to please. He really enjoys scratches and grooming. He can be a bit shy to catch so we do give treats at catching time.
UPKEEP: Little Man eats free choice alfalfa. No supplements or maintenance required to keep him sound. Really great feet with no past founder. He’s is in a full set of shoes as a personal preference. Would be happy to pull back shoes before hauling.
TURNOUT: Little Man can go out with horses big and small. He’s quiet in a herd setting or single turnout.
GROUND MANNERS: Little Man is very respectful of your personal space. He stays back and respects your space and feet! No problem at all for the kiddos to lead! Kids can also load and unload him. He’s extremely easy! Also stands tied to the trailer, single tied and crosstied.
BAD HABITS/ VICES: Little Man has no real bad habits or vices other than being difficult to catch at times. No buck, rear, bolt, kick or bite.
TACK: Little Man will ride English or western. He’s been ridden in a snaffle and a short shank snaffle.
BOARDING: Temporary boarding is available to arrange pick up. Absolutely no rush. Coggins and health certificate will be provided and in hand for the hauler.
