Crawdad is the kind of pony that is incredibly hard to find. He’s flashy, talented, versatile, and has one of the neatest qualities we’ve seen in a pony—he adjusts himself to the rider on his back. He stands 12 hands and is only 4 years old.
Put a timid or inexperienced rider on him, and Crawdad is perfectly content to walk along slow and steady, taking care of them without making them feel pressured. Put someone on him who knows how to ask for more, and he’s happy to step up and go to work. That ability to read his rider is what has made him such a great fit in our lesson program.
Crawdad rides, drives, and ropes and has been used all over the ranch pushing cattle. He’s been hauled out on trail rides, taken to the lake where he’ll play right in the water, and we’ve even jumped him over logs—which he absolutely LOVES!
