Here comes PAUL!

We are seeking a new home for our mischievous 13-year-old Pauli. He has introduced our two daughters to horse handling and the basics of (competition) riding. At 1.22 meters, he’s not the tallest, but he sometimes makes up for it with his ego. In my opinion, he is not a pony that can be handled solely by children; older, experienced riders are definitely needed for smaller children. Our daughters, now 9 and 11 years old, are able to groom, saddle, and ride him independently, from the paddock.

Paul is traffic-safe, familiar with dogs, indoor riding arenas, outdoor riding areas, and open terrain. He is comfortable with trailer loading, agricultural machinery, and many playing children around him. He enjoys being pampered and is always up for a bit of mischief.

He truly comes alive when jumping and riding in the terrain. Our daughters have competed with him in lead-rein walk-trot and walk-trot-canter riding competitions, as well as in show jumping. With a riding partner, he has even participated in mini E-jumping events. He has also won a cross-country orientation ride.

Paul is kept in a mixed herd outdoors 24/7, with limited access to pasture. We would like to continue this type of turnout for him. We are ideally looking for a parent-child team to give him a loving new home. If needed, he can be sold with accessories (saddle, bridle, boots, various rugs). The price is negotiable within reasonable limits.
