Nelson is a 9 year old Haflinger gelding standing a sturdy 13.2 hands high. Nelson is built very sturdy and can carry any size of rider! Nelson is a master on the trails and is always sure footed! He will cross any obstacle, go through water, cross logs, go over bridges, through brush, you name it…he will go through it! You can ride Nelson anywhere, on the trails, through town, down the road and he doesnt get exicted! He will walk, trot, lope, with ease in the arena and always picks up the correct lead. Nelson has great brakes, and always stops when asked. His go-button is spot on. He will leisurely plug along on the trails, down the road or in the arena or easily pick the speed up to ride english, jump, or even do some trail obsticals. Nelson loves to jump and looks adorable doing it! He is easy to saddle and un-saddle as well as groom! Nelson would be a great all around family horse to take to local shows for the entire family to show, and do all the events… then turn around and go on a trail ride or camping trip. He is very easy to catch in the field, and is always the first one to meet you at the gate. He loves attention and to be pampered! He does great being turnt out with other horses, mares or geldings. Stands great for the ferrier, and to be bathed. He will stand tied all day and night and never cause a ruckus. He is very low maintenance and will stay nice and plump on just grass hay!
