Dependable Trail Pony – Steady, & Always Ready!

Meet Munchy!
A 12-year-old Buckskin draft pony cross gelding who may not be fancy but is the one you’ll always want to tack up when it’s time to get out and go for adventures.
He stands at a strong and stout 13.1; he’s eager to eliminate your need for rocks, logs, salt blocks and ditches to help you mount while on the trail!

• Trail-Proven: Brave and sure-footed on any terrain.
• Uncomplicated: Easy to catch, saddle, and go — no prep work needed.
• Solid Minded: Traffic, wildlife, water, bridges, dogs — he’s seen it all.
• Happy to Pack: He is happy to pack and excels in this discipline.
• Fits Adults: Munchy is extremely stout and carries adults with ease.

Munchy isn’t about ribbons or arena moves — he’s about being safe, steady, and fun.
The perfect partner for long trail miles and overnights, whether you ride him or pack him.
If you’re looking for your next adventurous mount for camping or hunting trips, or just enjoying relaxing trail time, this is your pony.

Munchy just packed in 25 miles into the wilderness for the September elk camp this year. We did the trip in one day, on each end. He never wavered or tried to quit us. He’ll go as far and as long as you need him to. He loaded and packed an elk with zero hesitation, and he was super easy to handle at camp. You can leave him hobbled all day or night, and he’ll stick close by to camp. He’ll go to the river and water himself while hobbled. He doesn’t paw when you need to tie him to a tree all night, either, and he rides great in the dark and is not bothered by headlamps.
He really is uncomplicated in every way while at camp.
*Munchy packed 135 lbs. going in, and 145 lbs. going out, and will carry a rider up to 180 lbs. with no issues.

Munchy has been used on our ranch for calving, checking, gathering, and sorting cattle.
He loves working cattle and has been solid in that department.

Easy to load/unload, easy to shoe, and lives in our herd 24/7. He is in the middle of our herd’s pecking order.

He is a zero-maintenance pony who is UTD on dental care, cranial-sacral bodywork, feet, vaccinations, & dewormer.
