Meet ✨Sienna✨ — aka the queen of the barn! 👑 This mare is truly breathtakingly beautiful. She’s a 7-year-old, 16.1–16.2hh, ¾ Friesian and ¼ Percheron cross mare. She has a long, flowing mane and tail, a beautiful neck, all the right curves, correct conformation, and striking beauty — and she knows it! She has just as good of a personality to match; she loves her people so much that she’ll come running in from the pasture when she sees you! She is truly a sweetheart in every way — and so talented at that. She rides English, Western, bareback, and drives! Sienna is the whole package — she can go any direction and loves to have a job.
Sienna is the perfect horse for many disciplines. She’s fancy in the arena, and we could easily see her being a dressage queen with her talent, elegant movement, and sensible brain. She’s dropped jaws with her leg action — you’d think she’d be a lot of movement and suspension to ride; however, she’s one of the smoothest and most comfortable rides in the barn! “A comfortable Friesian?” — rare, I know, but she beats all the allegations as soon as you throw a leg over. We’ve ridden her bareback at the walk, trot, and canter — she’s that comfortable! She’s light on her feet, soft through the hand and leg, and easy to collect. This girl is incredibly smart, picks up new things fast, and retains information like no other. She’s smart as a whip, with great work ethic, forward thinking (without ever taking off), and has all the potential to get you to the top. Her trot and canter are adjustable, she does circles with grace and balance, and even has a sliding stop if you ask! She neck reins and direct reins, sidepasses, leg yields, and extends beautifully. This is a mare that loves to work, loves having a job, and is happy to put in the effort six days a week. Let her sit awhile and she’ll come out the same — maybe a little miffed you didn’t give her more attention — but always steady and reliable. She’s every AA and trainer’s dream, and one we always look forward to pulling out for a ride. She’s fun in every way and safe for a variety of riders.
On the trail, Sienna has plenty of miles and always walks like she’s on a red carpet. 💃 She’s sure to get noticed with her happy ears, precious demeanor, and the sparkle in her eyes. She enjoys life and would love someone who’s as carefree as she is! She’s a powerhouse — one that can’t be rattled even by the spookiest of things. This lady is 100% traffic and equipment safe, bike and hiker proof. She’s been desensitized to the tarp, flag, smoke, and fire, and even brings a competitive game when it comes to the ball! She’s just as wonderful on a simple trail ride, with unflappable confidence that will carry you through (or over!) anything. She’s ridden right into busy towns, as well as quiet wooded trails and open fields. She’ll even let you sit the whiny kids on her back — and she’ll make them smile every time. Sienna has presence without being “mare-ish.” She loves her halfwit gelding colleagues and doesn’t get upset when they’re rambunctious or in her space. She minds her business in turnout and gets along with anyone and everyone.
We can’t say enough good things about this mare. She even has a lovely jump! Whether you’re in the ring popping over crossrails and simple combinations, or going cross-country over solid fences — she’s honest, has cute form, perfect knees, and always a happy attitude to boot. She has tons of potential when it comes to jumping and just keeps getting better the more she learns. She’s so rewarding to bring along because you can truly see your work paying off — and she’ll make you proud! She’s been on hunter paces and schooled cross-country with us, and we could easily see her thriving in the hunt field. She doesn’t get hot or silly; you can put her anywhere in the group, and she stays calm, cool, and collected — you can even jump her around and walk off on a loose rein right after. She’s incredible in every way, she’s in her prime, and she has so much life to give.
