Cheesecake — affectionately known as Cheese — is the kind of gelding that instantly wins you over. With his bright, goofy personality and rock-solid trail experience, he’s equal parts entertainer and dependable partner. Friendly, fun, and full of try, he’s one of those horses that simply loves people and is always happy to go to work.

Cheese is the first to greet you at the gate and gets along with everyone — horses, humans, even goats. He has a classic “puppy dog” personality, curious and engaging, and he brings a lot of joy to the barn.

This gelding has seen it all. From navigating the busy streets of downtown to handling long miles in rugged mountain terrain, Cheese crosses bridges, water, and tunnels and brushes off commotion from traffic, strollers, dogs, or bikes without hesitation. He thrives in chaotic environments and makes even the wildest setting feel calm and rideable.

Under saddle, Cheese is a blast to ride. He’s athletic, soft, and extremely responsive. Cheese is a very sensitive and alert horse with a lot of go and forward motion in all gaits- He can go all day and still offer more at the end of the day.
He offers a smooth walk, a huge smooth trot, and an extended canter. His stop is solid, rollback crisp, and he’s working on developing a nice spin. He’s the type you can take out and work or play on all day. — he knows his job and enjoys it.

He’s also been exposed to all kinds of obstacles and tasks: flags, tarps, dragging logs and barrels, and everything in between. Whether you want a handy ranch partner, a relaxed trail horse, or just a broke, sweet gelding with a ton of heart and a splash of humor — Cheese fits the bill.
