Have you ever wanted a horse that can do it all? Well, Stormy is the one for you. She both Rides & Drives! She is very well broken and safe both ways! And if you are looking for a down-to-earth, NO drama type of horse, she’s your girl. Stormy is a been-there-done-that type of horse and absolutely NO drama, whether it be under saddle, in harness, or out in the pasture.

Stormy is a registered Morgan, 6 years old, and standing at 15 hands tall. She is 99.8% foundation-bred & HOMOZYGOUS BLACK! And of course, no horse is perfect, but for me, Stormy is 99.9% perfect. If you can’t tell already, I love this mare.

She is a blast to ride or drive. And not only that, she has personality. I LOVE her personality. She is in your pocket like a big dog. She loves attention. Every time, without fail, if I go into her pasture, she will come up to me and want scratches right between her ears. She seeks affection, and she gives affection. It’s really awesome when you find a horse like Stormy that genuinely wants to be with people.

And not only is her personality amazing. She gets along out in the herd. She does NOT create any drama; she is in the middle of the pecking order. Needless to say, she is easy to catch. Has excellent ground manners, such as picking up her feet, tacking, and standing still for mounting. She is an easy keeper, NO maintenance required. And she loads right into the trailer, backs right out, and hauls great.

And she is BROKE for driving. She stands great for hitching/unhitching, stop signs/lights, and getting on and off the cart. She’s easy to control under a harness. Knows the commands walk on, trot, easy, and whoa. GREAT with traffic. She is fine with the big trucks and commotion. Very safe under harness.

Under saddle, she has very nice gaits. Her trot is easy to post to, her canter is AMAZING, and she has a nice, ground-covering walk. She is a Morgan, and if you know your Morgans, she is not a klutzy/lazy/deadhead, but she is NOT hot. She will do whatever speed you ask for. If you want to walk, then she’s just walking. She has a medium-paced trot and can do a faster, extended trot. And her canter is perfect to sit to.

She is very sure-footed and will go anywhere I point. She is just about fearless. She will cross anything water, bridges, logs, etc. In the video, you’ll see her go into Lake Michigan, which was actually the first time she’s ever been to a big lake with big waves. And she did AWESOME! Most horses spook badly the first time when they see big waves coming, but she did great. And it didn’t matter if she had a wave coming from the side, front, or behind her. And the waves can get quite loud as well. She even chased seagulls with me and didn’t flinch when they took off flying around from in front of or behind her. She’s used to wildlife out on the trails and used to having a doggy friend follow her.
