Olaf, dein Freizeitpartner

With a heavy heart, I am offering "Olaf," a five-year-old Appaloosa gelding in the few Spot coloration, for sale.  

Olaf stands approximately 1.62 meters tall and is solidly built, making him suitable for larger riders. He has one blue eye and one dark eye, which makes him truly unique.  

He has been in my possession since weaned. In 2024, I successfully competed with him at the EWU State Championships, where he was awarded Best Young Horse in the Basic and Trail classes, and he became the State Champion in Junior Pleasure and Junior Trail.  

Unfortunately, I have come to realize that he does not enjoy training with competitive ambitions. Therefore, I am seeking a forever home for him as a leisure horse only.  

Olaf is stabled at Oberhof, where he is frequently ridden in the terrain. Whether in open fields or through the village, he is always well-behaved. Even under somewhat inexperienced children, he walks calmly in all three gaits. Due to his young age, he is suitable only for ambitious riders or re-entrants; he is not a beginner's horse.  

He is very social and can be kept in a mixed herd. As a carrier of the leopard gene, he is night-blind, which should be considered in an open stable environment.  

He loads onto trailers without issue and is absolutely straightforward with the farrier and veterinarian. In handling, he is a real treasure and always wants to do everything right.  

Olaf is PSSM2 positive and is being offered below value. Currently, he shows no symptoms.

Olaf has papers from the Aphc and a passport from the AphcG.
