Cherry has all the tools in her belt to be a World Class performer herself. She started her riding career with an incredible horseman and cowhorse trainer. Spent a full year in cowhorse training and the foundation is SOLID. Lead departures, turnarounds, stop, cow sense, circles, all of it is there and hasn’t been crammed in overnight. Cherry has also been used in our preconditioning feedyard and really likes to go to work. Most of the time when we take these horses who have grown up in the arena atmosphere to the yard, the work and chaos can be frustrating for them for awhile. We can’t babysit them or set them up for the maneuvers. They’ve got to learn to be handy, confident, and handle the pressure. Cherry took it all in and rose to the occasion. We’ve sorted, pulled sick cattle, loaded trucks, and check weighed pens on her. She will do it all on a loose rein and good attitude. We’ve also taken her outside and doctored a handful on her. She will read a cow a mile away and track right up in there and give you a good shot.
Cherry has a kind, quiet disposition. She enjoys being around people, getting brushed on, and has great manners. No snort, buck, mare attitude, or issues to deal with. She stands tied for saddling, great with her feet, bridles, and hauls like a seasoned veteran. We think she would be a great rope horse prospect, ranch versatility, sorter/team penner, or put her back in cowhorse training. She’s got the mind, talent, pedigree, and confirmation to go any direction. Sells 100% sound in every way. Stands 13.3, weighs 1050 lbs, with tons of bone and foot!
