I bought Goober for my 10-year-old granddaughter (hence the name Goober) 5 years ago, but now she is doing serious barrel racing, so he isn’t getting the attention that he craves. Goober is a fun guy who comes every time he is called and loves to follow you around while doing “barn tasks.” he loves attention & would rather follow us around than “hang with the herd.” Goober neck reins well and two-handed as she rode him in Youth Drill for two years. He rides with a Snaffle, Hackamore, Rope Cowboy Halter, or even Baling Twine! He doesn’t need a tie-down. She just usually grabs the closest bridle while thinking. He goes barefoot or has worn shoes for several parades and night parades, which are covered in lights.

Goober has competed in too many Playdays to count, doing all sorts of different patterns. They have competed in many local Western Equitation and trail shows and won against the “fancy, fake tail horses” I even won on him at age 65 (26 horses in my class) as has my 7 year old grandson! He has carried flags at Rodeos, Rough Stock, and Playday events. Goobers trot and lope are better than any rocking chair I have ever sat. Goober will rope anything (including teen stray cousins) Sort, Team Pen in competition and at the ranch, separating cows from calves to be tagged. As a trail horse, he fears nothing! He has crossed bridges, rivers, and swam in lakes. He picks his way through rough terrain and is never in a hurry to go home. He has crossed RR Tracks, Freeway Overpass to go through the drive-through at Wendy’s! Goober wants a person or family who will love on him, and he will do anything that is asked of him. Goober is the PERFECT All Around Horse!
