Great for new horse owners or your non-horsey guests who just want a relaxing ride. He’s steady on the trail, happy to go out alone or in a group and will confidently take you wherever you point him. Through water, over logs, up and down inclines, over bridges, across open pastures & down wooded paths. Myself, my daughter, and her friends have taken Dakota to State & National Parks for day rides & he’s always a fun time! You don’t have to be horseman to enjoy what Dakota has to offer. A user friendly, uncomplicated ride. He’s easy to handle, always quiet & gentle, easy to catch, practically loads & unloads himself from the trailer, and is perfectly content living outside alone or with other animals. A true, easy to own horse!
We’ve ridden Dakota English, Western, Bareback, & even brideless! He walk, trot, canters and picks up the correct leads. We’ve taken him over cross rails, he’s a natural, and seems to really enjoy a challenge. We’ve rode him across the road, in to town, down the sidewalks, alongside traffic. Waving tarps, Flags, Gun Fire, climbing all over & under him, Dakota is always unbothered by our shenanigans!
