All modern English Thoroughbreds can trace their pedigrees to three Arabian stallions: 'Darley Arabian', 'Godolphin Barb’ and 'Byerley Turk'. These big fathers were originally imported into England in the 17th and 18th century and mated there with mares from a variety of breeds. Their descendants we ... For Sale: 19-Year-Old Thoroughbred Gelding – Grandson of Secretariat!**

With a heavy heart, I am offering my Jim for sale—something I never thought I'd have to do and promised myself I could never do. I’ve had him for 13 years now, and he’s been my biggest inspiration and therapy. This stunning 19-year-old chestnut Thoroughbred gelding has plenty of life left and deserves someone who can give him the attention he deserves.

Jim is the grandson of the legendary Secretariat, making him a rare find with exceptional bloodlines. I can show/ provide the pedigree if requested. He was never raced, but his parents were very successful. He was, however, trained for event showing to Grand Prix level. But he is retired now, but he is still a rockstar at dressage. He’s a great riding horse, not for beginners but would do well with an intermediate rider with a coach. He is great around kids, pets, and other horses. Once he can trust you, you will be best friends, and there isn’t anything he won’t do. He’s a sweetheart who loves treats and grooms. I would love to see him do that again( dressage) or be in a lesson program. He needs to get used to more than one rider and have that consistency.
He is a versatile ride, going both English and Western. He can go bareback. He just had his teeth floated; a vet check completely healthy other than he does need a tooth pulled right away, which I can’t afford( can be taken off his sale price) so he’s on bute temporarily. He stands well for the farrier (just done recently). He could use a refresher on standing tied but is otherwise a solid, dependable horse. I had him on just grass for one whole summer. He is very easy to keep, but does need grain and extra hay in the spring and winter. He’s located on the Lower mainland Bc Canada.

Currently sitting in a field not being used, Jim is ready for a new adventure with someone who can enjoy him. A sale contract will be signed stating that he must find a forever home; otherwise, I have the right to buy him back or get him back. I must be able to have visitation rights.
He was bought for $43,693.
I am asking for 10K USD.
Serious inquiries only.
