Take a look at Chunky, who is a rare find! Chunk is a flashy bay foxtrotter/appaloosa cross gelding that we have nicknamed a fox-aloosa. Chunky comes by his name honest as he is as broad as he is tall, standing 14hh and is in the prime of his life at 7 years old. He is low to the ground for easy mounting, yet he is built to carry a heavy load. Chunky is as smooth as any horse that you will set on! He has that true 4-beat gait that is smooth for any rider at all speeds up to 10mph. Chunky has a very gentle nature and a calm demeanor. He is perfectly content to walk along the trails on a loose rein and is not in a hurry. He is a great horse for the whole family to enjoy! Chunky has been ridden in several states, from Mississippi to Virginia and been on camping trips as well. He has seen everything imaginable and handles everything in stride! He has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife, such as deer or turkey, or other animals like cows or dogs, and will go anywhere that he is asked to. He has ridden many miles in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and encountered every obstacle possible on the trail. He will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and all rough terrain while still being sure-footed. He has been ridden in traffic and is very traffic-safe around cars, semis, logs, and dump trucks. If you are looking to blaze a trail but want to do it safely and steadily… Chunky is the horse for you!
