Meet Shaker — a gorgeous 11-year-old grade Missouri Fox Trotter gelding with just the right mix of flash and sense. This handsome bay stands 15.1 hands and has eye-catching roaning with plenty of chrome. He’s got a kind, gentle eye, a solid build, and a head full of sense—just the way you’d want one to be. Shaker has been trail ridden all over and seen just about everything. He’s sure-footed, confident, and will go wherever you point him—water, logs, thick brush, steep hills—you name it, he handles it with ease. He’s the kind of horse that always looks out for his rider. He’s very naturally gaited, super smooth, and easy to ride. He moves out beautifully on a loose rein, but he’s also happy to just walk along slow and easy if that’s more your style. He won’t go faster than you ask, and he’s broke well enough to neck rein with one hand, stop and back with ease, and move off your leg. Shaker stands quiet to mount and will park out on cue. You can get on from the ground, a mounting block, or whatever else you find along the trail—he’ll wait patiently until you’re ready to go. He rides out alone or in a group, and doesn’t care where he is in the lineup. Whether you ride him every day or once a month, he stays the same—calm, kind, and willing. He’s got great ground manners, stands tied like a gentleman, and is no trouble to groom, tack, or handle. He picks up all four feet, is good for the farrier, and loads and hauls like a pro. He’s even been on overnight camping trips and takes everything in stride. If you’ve been looking for a horse with looks, brains, experience, and that smooth-as-butter gait, Shaker might just be your guy. Horses like him don’t come around often—you won’t want to miss him!
