Laura Graves, runner up in the world dressage championships of 2018, is pregnant! In December, she and her husband Curt Maes are expecting a baby girl after being together for almost ten years.

“We are so excited to announce that we are expecting a baby girl in December!”, said Laura Graves on Instagram a few days ago. The 34 year old’s family is now growing – and they’re so excited! She shared a family picture with her dog and horse, as well as an ultrasound picture of their new baby girl. Laura and her husband Curt Maes had just gotten married last year, after being in together for almost 9 years. Now they’re starting a new and exciting chapter together!

Curt is not only Laura’s husband, but also her business partner. They are joint owners of her very succesful dressage horse Verdades, with whom Graves won the bronze team medal and made 4th place in the individual ranking at the Olympic Games 2016! She has since been even more succesful, and won the silver medal at the Word Cup Finals of 2019 in Göteborg. In 2018, the pair also won both individual and team silver at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon. Last year, she sent her beloved horse Verdades, now 19, into a well-deserved retirement. Since then, things have remained on the quiet side for them.

We wish Laura and her growing family all the best – and who knows, maybe their little girl will follow in her mothers footsteps!
