Babe is a handsome cowboy colored blue roan gelding standing the perfect size of 12.3 hands,built like a TANK and only 4 yrs old. Babe is sired GTF ASHDOWN FOREST. He is Big enough for the whole family to ride but small enough to not be intimidating for young and inexperienced riders.
As willing as they come, this pony has said “yes” to everything we've pointed him at driving a wagon, trailing calves, working a cutting flag, trail rides, gathering , branding calves, pushing sheep at the jr rodeo, packing flags, tarps, riding down the road, lays down, rope the heel o matic, sits on the bean bag, crack a bull whip on him or take him on the next hunting adventures, the list goes on and on! He doesn’t care, hop on! He truly loves people and just being with you. Babe is kind and gentle enough to step right into a lesson program.
Babe is SAFE, the kind of horse that will take care of his rider. He is the ultimate package gentle and broke, his sweet and loving disposition along with the flashy moves. He wants to be everyone’s best friend. Babe is BROKE, he rides around like a broke horse should and has all the buttons you could ever need. He neck reins, stays light in the bridle & floats through his gaits. Lopes nice circles, smooth stop, moves off leg pressure & is easy easy easy to get along with! Babe rides any way you want, over round and through.
We have been beyond impressed with how relaxed he has been around all the jam-packed action at our place. We have owned Babe since he was a yearling. Statler started Babe as a two year old and hasn’t looked back. He is one of the coolest gypsy cross ponies we have ever owned. Babe has been to play days and has given several kids their first pony ride, he is extremely patient and has a heart of gold.
He loads well, stands tied, can be turned out alone or in a herd, does well in a stall, and has excellent ground manners. Respectful, polite and willing to please, Babe is ready for his forever home and a family to call his own!
