He has three extremely comfortable, adjustable, and easy to sit gaits. Diego is educated, with a solid dressage foundation, setting him up for success in any discipline. He has great transitions, knows all the lateral work, and is naturally round and soft in the bridle. Anything you can do with a bridle, you can do without. Diego is broke to the nines, and listens well to seat, leg, and voice cues. Whether you want to go up the levels in the dressage ring, take home the win in working equitation, or just have a beautiful horse to build your skills and confidence with, Diego is your man to do it all with. He side passes, leg yields, pivots, extends, collects, and has every button you could think of. He is kind and forgiving, and tolerant of timid or beginner riders.

Off property and on the trails, Diego is sure footed and solid. He rides out alone, leads the way, takes up the rear, or relaxes in the middle of the pack. He LOVES to swim and play in the water. He crosses any and all obstacles, and will bravely lead the way whenever needed. He has done plenty of trail obstacle courses, clinics, off property lessons, and schooling shows. He is the same horse on and off property, and is safe and easy for anyone to load up and go new places with.

In the barn, Diego is everyones favorite. Even the non horse lover finds themselves enchanted by him. He gives kisses, nuzzles, and snuggles up to you the second he gets the chance. Though he is a big teddy bear of a horse, he is still polite and respectful. He will lovingly follow you around all day long, but never get pushy or rude. He has had plenty of groundwork, and loves to bond on the ground as much as he does in the saddle. He is happy living inside, or out, and gets along in a mixed herd of mares and geldings.
